I was traveling around Kumbakonam in tamilnadu, and I discovered this sculpted piece on a pillar near a famous temple. it struck me odd, my immediate guess was, this could be a dancer. Head consists of a stash, but body is decorated with breasts. could be a woman, roleplaying as a man. you never know. would be great to know the history of piece. this reminded me, there was place for all kinds of entertainment back them.

The structure i scanned this from was just outside the main temple, and it’s in rather neglected state. I worked on this while smelling piss. Tho marvelous things sculpted on them, they are after all stones and people are just people. world rebrands itself into a fresh canvas for future.
